Good morning all! Welcome to Twinkie Town 3.0. As you can see, things are quite a bit different around these parts. If you compare the changes we've gone through overnight, what's new here makes the shift to Twinkie Town 2.0 about four and a half years ago seem insignificant.
What's the same?
Our content. The way our community can interact and comment and start their own conversations. Our committment to being irreverent and self-depreciating, or being honest and analytical, or sharing the latest news to see what you have to say about it. How we go about doing what we do isn't going to change.
What's different?
Besides the full scale aethetic overhaul? Honestly, not much. The biggest difference is what you see what you first come to our front page: the cover. Our cover allows us to share a number of different stories up front, which means it's easier for you to get to the content that is (probably) the most relevant. After that, stories will go down the page in reverse chronological order like they always have.
We now have the ability to pull in relevant stories from other SB Nation United websites. If the Twins pull off a trade with the Nationals this winter, we'll be able to pull in their analysis to go along side our own. If two or three of us want to give our own thoughts on an event, we can do that without having the ones that were published first disappear down the page.
Going Forward
Changes like this will take some getting used to. But I'm excited. There's a lot to explore right now, and while there's a lot more to look at it also means we can keep more conversations going about the team and the sport we love.
If you do come across anything that seems off, please send an email to support@sbnation.com. They'll be able help you out with any technical issues.
We're going to have a lot of new content this week so we can show off this new, fancypants look. As always, we're nothing without our community, so hopefully you take advantage of this new look, too - check out what you can publish, how it looks; start your own conversations about topics that are important to you.
We're always endebted to our communities, and I have always thought that we have one of the best ones around. Thanks again to all of you, and here's toasting the best for us all as we move into the next stage of our existance together.
Welcome to Twinkie Town 3.0!
