Good afternoon Twins fans! Here's a look at some Twins happenings from around the web:
- Denard Span commented on his position in the organization yesterday, and said that he would be willing to move from center field to stay with the Minnesota Twins.
- Meanwhile, North Dakota Twins Fan has a piece on Minnesota Twins center fielder of the future, Byron Buxton.
- How bad has the Twins starting rotation been this year? Beyond the Boxscore is brave enough to look (warning: viewer discretion is advised).
- At least one sports writer is asking if the Twins will try to trade Nick Blackburn. A source from the Twins organization commented on the idea, telling the Pioneer Press "I don't think anybody's going to pick me up because of the money I'm owed, but the Twins can't be happy with the way I've performed. I've been terrible. I'm very aware that I could be released."
- As for making the rotation not so bad next season, one possibility for the Twins might be Ervin Santana.
- In case you missed it in the Fan Shots section, ESPN Magazine apparently ran some big fancy-pants "Day in the Life of Joe Mauer" thing recently, and it basically rips Minnesotans for booing Joe.
- FanGraphs has a piece detailing how extraordinarily bad Joe Mauer was yesterday against C.C. Sabathia. Boo!!!! Amirite!?
