Holy hell, Wainwright had a much more impressive season than I thought he did. 241 innings? That's more than seven innings a start. Remember how impressed we were when Correia averaged seven innings a start in April? Wainwright did that all damn season.

Burnett, to his credit, has had a really good season, too. Great strikeout rates, he's getting more ground balls thanks to that two-seamer, and he's done a fantastic job of limiting base runners - especially when he's working his command.

Medlen made a pretty smooth transition to a full time starter. The other three guys taking the hill tonight could be considered aces - even Burnett in his own way - but it's still been an impressive debut into the starter's game.

As for Kershaw? I might take him over any starter in baseball right now.
