Twinkie Town: Writers Wanted, Inquire Within

Happy Friday, everyone! As the off-season just starts to warm up, Twinkie Town is looking to expand our coverage of all things Twins over the winter and extending through the summer. Feature Writer (Unspecified number of positions available)

Feature writers are always welcome, but will be the most difficult role to secure. This position requires at least one post per week - humor, opinion, analysis, etc - that will be kept on a tight schedule. If you think you've got enough staying power to write something new every week, and especially if you have experience writing (whether this is about the Twins or otherwise), this role could be for you.

Morning Link Dump (3 or 4 positions available)

Quick reads. These will be designed to get the conversation going every morning by sharing a small handful of links Monday through Friday mornings. This is an ideal role for someone looking to take a larger role in the community, regardless of writing experience.

News/Analysis (Unspecified number)

This is a role requiring an immediate reaction to breaking news, and flexibility in terms of availability in being able to cover news as and when it happens. An expanded explanation will be given to anyone interested.

Minor League Coverage (5 positions)

Quick reads. During the season, we are looking to expand our minor league coverage. We will continue to post more in-depth weekly updates on our top 25 or 30 prospect, but every morning we also want to be able to post scores and highlight performances from the prior day. Similar to our link dump requirements, this role is designed for anyone looking to take a larger role in the TT community regardless of writing experience.

Game Day Coverage (3 positions)

Our game hubs include a preview, game thread, and game recap. We have openings to add three of these writers for the upcoming season.

Weekend Writers (2 positions)

Saturdays and Sundays are looking for one or two people to take charge to provide content. This typically includes a morning "notebook" as well as anything else relevant. Requirements include availability to write or schedule posts for the weekend.
