The important thing to note is that it's unbelievably nice out today. It will be by far the best weather for any Target Field game in 2013 until Saturday's game.
The other important thing to note is that the Twins will be attempting to stop a two-game skid and go back above .500 as they sit at an even 9-9. They will attempt to do so with the de facto ace of the staff, Scott Diamond, who is making his third start of the season.
The admitted Canadian is coming off a nice outing, wherein he limited the hated Whities to two runs and four hits over six innings and notched his first win of the season.
Texas will counter with rookie Justin Grimm.
As this AP story notes, Grimm was also impressive in his last outing, but it comes with the asterisk that is the Seattle Mariners' offense. If the Twins want at least a split against a quality Rangers team this weekend, this would appear to be their best opportunity for a win.
We'll be back in a spell with your starting lineups.
