Pitchers Preview: WBC HERO SAMUEL DEDUNO vs. Anibal Sanchez

Have we mentioned he was a WBC hero yet?

The Twins are in desperate need of a starting pitcher who can miss bats and work deep into a game. Would you settle for one out of two?

Here's what we expect out of Deduno: a lot of strikeouts, a lot of walks, and a lot of pitches in 5 or 6 innings of work. The already overworked bullpen could use 7 or 8 innings. The already overwhelmed team, losers of nine in a row, could use just about anything.

Sanchez is coming off a terrible start versus the Rangers, when he gave up six runs and nine hits without getting out of the third inning. A look at his ERA/WHIP and K/BB will let you know that Sanchez has otherwise been terrific for the Tigers.

We'll be back with the starting lineups and any further roster moves in a spell.
