Game Thread: Twins @ Tigers, Game 46

The Twins have hit rock bottom after achieving only one hit in yesterday's loss, their 10th in a row. They look to P.J. Walters today to turn their fortunes around.

Well, it can't get any worse than this, I bet. A Joe Mauer single prevented the Twins from being no-hit for the second consecutive season last night, but the task doesn't get any easier as they have to face Doug Fister.

P.J. Walters was called up just prior to the game in order to make today's start. Presumably he will stay as long as the Twins see fit. If he pitches well, of course he'll stay on the roster. But if he struggles in, let's say three starts, I bet he would be sent back to Triple-A and the Twins might finally call up Kyle Gibson.

The lineup is definitely piecemeal today, as after the top four hitters it looks like the Rochester Red Wings chose to help out the big league squad. Yes, that is Chris Colabello hitting 5th behind Justin Morneau.
