Per Dustin Morse, the Twins have DFAed left-hander Tyler Robertson, in order to clear space on the 40-man roster for Clete Thomas, who is being called up to replace Chris Colabello.
The @twins select the contract of OF Clete Thomas & designate LHP Tyler Robertson for release or assignment. Thomas will join club in KC.

Robertson hasn't been seen in Minnesota since giving up a grand slam to Chris Davis on April 5. Since going back to Rochester, he had a 3.05 ERA in 21 appearances for the Red Wings, striking out 20 in 20.2 innings but walking 16 as well.
Thomas, 29, is hitting .296 / .385 / .576 at Rochester, and has hit nine home runs in 36 games - one year after batting .232 at the same level. With Darin Mastroianni and Wilkin Ramirez out injured, and Oswaldo Arcia at Triple-A, the Twins needed an outfield option that didn't involve putting Chris Hermann or Ryan Doumit out there and crossing their fingers.
One year ago, Thomas got 29 plate appearances for Minnesota, getting four hits but striking out an unbelievable 16 times, thus earning the nickname "Klete" from all and sundry.
