Game Thread: Minnesota Twins at Tampa Bay Rays, Game 88

J. Meric

First Pitch: 6:10 pm CST
TV: FSN
Radio: KTWIN 96.3, TIBN
Know Thine Enemy: D Rays Bay

Tonight the Twins look to take on the surging Rays, who have won 10 of their past 11 games and are considered to be the hottest team in the game right now. The Twins, who have clearly not been the hottest team in the game, well...all season, have dropped 8 of their past 10 games and have seen players struggling at the plate (Justin Morneau's batting average is dropping at an alarming rate) and in the field (balls to the face. Oi.). It's been a rough time to be a Twins fan (for the past few years...), but tonight, we watch as they take on a white-hot Rays team in Tampa and hope for the very best.

Your starting pitchers:

Minnesota

Correia's last outing in Toronto could have gone a lot better, as he gave up a season-high 10 hits and 3 walks in 6 innings.

Tampa Bay

Jeremy Hellickson

Despite his mighty struggles earlier in the year, Hellickson has definitely settled down in his past 7 starts. He's also 3-1 in his career 4 starts against the Twins.
