The Twins started their unofficial second half of the season well with a 3-2 win, including another solid performance by Mike Pelfrey, even though it only lasted 5 2/3 innings. Now, his fellow newcomer to the Twins takes the mound in Kevin Correia, who will be facing Corey "The Klub" Kluber*.

* Not actually his nickname.

The Indians are just 1 1/2 games behind the Detroit Tigers for the lead in the AL Central, and some of their deficit could be pinned on their poor record away from Progressive Field. Despite owning a 30-19 mark in Cleveland, the Indians are just 21-26 when they leave the state of Ohio. Oh, and P.S., I'm totally trusting that they never played the Reds in Cincinnati this year by making that comment.

Meanwhile, the Twins are just trying to stay out of the cellar, being only 3 games better than the Chicago White Sox. This game and the next 11 days could be one big audition for Justin Morneau, Glen Perkins, Mike Pelfrey, and others that could possibly be trade bait before the July 31st non-waiver deadline.

I will be working tonight's game so as usual, but I was able to find the Twins lineup before I left. As for the Indians... well, let's just let it be a surprise.
