Twins to Recall Mike Pelfrey, Designate P.J. Walters for Assignment

With Mike Pelfrey due to return to the Twins at any time, it was only a matter of when and not if P.J. Walters' days in the Majors would be up. After four pretty effective starts to begin his 2013 campaign, Major League offenses caught up with him over the last four.

The Twins now have ten days to trade, release, or place Walters on waivers. It seems unlikely that he'll pitch for Minnesota again.
