Pitcher Preview: Kevin Correia vs. Anibal Sanchez

Duane Burleson

Tonight's pitching matchup in the Twins-Tigers game sets Minnesota's veteran righty Kevin Correia against Detroit's own right-hander, Anibal Sanchez. Since the All-Star Break, Sanchez has thrown six straight games where he's had a quality start, and has gone 4-1 with a 1.54 ERA. He's had a lot of success against the Twins this year as well, posting a 1.90 ERA in 23 2/3 innings (and striking out 29 batters). Correia hasn't had the success that Sanchez has seen, and looks to bounce back from his last start, a 7 1/3 inning out against Chicago that allowed four ER and nine hits.
