Breaking news items in Twins Territory:

  • Samuel Deduno is on the DL with his shoulder issue.  He's been experiencing soreness in it, and was attempting to pitch through it.  Not knowing more about the extent of the injury, I'll refrain from noting how very poorly "pitching through it" has worked for the Minnesota Twins of late.
  • Wilkin Ramirez is also on the DL with a fractured tibia, which he incurred on a foul tip in yesterday's game.  Owwwww.
  • Darin Mastroianni and Pedro Hernandez will replace Deduno and Ramirez on the roster.  They will be in Texas for tonight's game.
  • Per the Strib's Phil Miller, the deadline has passed on the window to trade Josh Willingham.  He is not going anywhere until the offseason at the earliest.  There was a tweet from Orioles beat writer Roch Kubatko this morning that the Twins "were asking way too much" for the Hammer's services.
If we hear anything else, we will inform you of it.
