That's Not Sewage On The Field, It's The Twins - Twins Lose To A's 9-1

Why write a description when the headline says it all?

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

The Twins have lost the last three Saturday games by a combined score of 27-3. Thus, once again it's been tough to write this game recap.

Like I predicted in the game thread, Pedro Hernandez got lit up, allowing 6 runs in 2 innings. Liam Hendriks relieved him and did a decent job, completing the game by pitching 6 innings and only allowing 3 more runs. A quality start in relief! Shockingly, he also struck out 7 batters, which is apparently allowed in an MLB game. Never knew that...

Pretty much the lone bright spot for the Twins was that Josmil Pinto golfed a Jarrod Parker change-up over the left field fence for his 3rd career home run. Otherwise, Parker did very well even though he only earned 1 strikeout, as he limited the Twins to 4 hits, with only 2 being extra-base hits (Brian Dozier had a double).

WP: Jarrod Parker (12-7)
