Game 158: Detroit Tigers at Minnesota Twins

Hannah Foslien

First Pitch: 7:10 pm CST
TV: FSN
Radio: 96.3 K-TWIN, TIBN
Know Thine Enemy: Bless You Boys

The Tigers secured a spot in the playoffs for sure with a win against the Twins on Tuesday, but they can clinch the American League Central Division with a win against the Twins tonight. Watching a team celebrate a division title on their field will hopefully be enough motivation for the Twins to secure their own win tonight, and leave the Tigers to fight for the division another day. Tonight's game will feature 20-game winner Max Scherzer for Detroit and uh...9-game winner Kevin Correia for Minnesota. Exciting!

Those are some impressive numbers...

Notes
-Max Scherzer is 2-0 against the Twins this season in two starts. His ERA against them is 2.70.
-Kevin Correia is making his 31st start of the season, and has posted a 4.29 ERA in his previous 30 starts.
-Apparently Mike Pelfrey would like to be back in a Twins uniform next season, because Mike Pelfrey is also a sado-masochist.
-Ryan Doumit needs just one more dinger to hit 100 career bombs. Let's hope it's tonight!
