GET BEHIND ME, ARBITRATION

Twins avoid arbitration. Won't even look it in the eye, because that's how it gets you, see.

Despite my earlier complaint that there was nothing going on with the Minnesota Twins and that Brian Duensing had been eaten by a deranged TC Bear, some news has actually broken with Duensing and two other arbitration-eligible veterans, Trevor Plouffe and Anthony Swarzak.

The club announced today that they had successfully avoided arbitration with all three players, signing each to a 1-year deal.  The particulars:

  • Duensing: $2 million
  • Plouffe: $2.35 million
  • Swarzak: per Mike Berardino, $935,000, plus a $25,000 bonus if he starts 10 games.
