Just yesterday, when the Cubs officially fired Rick Renteria after unofficially hiring Joe Maddon, Terry Ryan was allegedly considering giving the recently fired skipper a call.
Terry Ryan, the #Twins GM, is now considering whether to bring in Rick Renteria for an interview for their managerial opening.

It sounds like that consideration may not have gone very far.
Earlier today came news that the Twins' decision on their next field manager could have been made. Doug Mientkiewicz was informed late in the week that he was no longer being considered for the role, but further, it seems that the organization intends to announce the hiring of Paul Molitor on Monday.
Molitor's traits as a coach include descriptions of being detail-oriented, knowledgeable, curious, and an excellent teacher. His expertise lies in a broad and deep knowledge of base running, as well as all things infield.
Contract talks are ongoing, but should be completed by the end of the weekend.
Person w/direct knowledge: Paul Molitor has indeed been offered the #MNTwins managing job. Contract discussions are ongoing.
