C.J. Nitkowski is reporting that the Texas Rangers actually won the bid for Korean LHP Hyeon-jong Yang, not the Twins. Texas is perpetually looking for pitching thanks to their home ballpark being a launching pad, so it makes sense that they're exploring all avenues around the world to find cheap, quality pitching.
Well keep this updated but it appears as though we can stop following this story now that the Twins are no longer involved. It will be interesting to see if this is a repeat of the Hisashi Iwakuma posting, where the Twins finished in second place and then watched as Iwakuma turned into a solid major league starter.
