It sounds like the Twins were nearing a deal with Ervin Santana, according to Joel Sherman. However, Sherman later deleted that tweet and replaced it with this.

UPDATE
Well, the speculation of Terry Ryan moving up his meeting with the Twin Cities media to announce some news turned out to be a false alarm. As he often does, Ryan would not confirm the Twins' interest in Santana, which is interesting considering we have multiple sources that state that there is an offer on the table for Santana to consider.
