LUNCH LINKS: Pinto, MLB Network, Trip Shakespeare

These usually run in the morning. There was a winter storm. Forgive me.

  • The Twins injury luck appears to be holding.  Josmil Pinto was scratched with a stiff back today, but Mike Berardino reports that HOSEMEAL is still slated to catch live batting practice on Saturday.
  • Brian Dozier also has back issues, but Rhett Bollinger says that he'll also be ready for Saturday's drills.  Sources say his hair is in the best shape of its life, with tons of body and natural shine.
  • Bollinger also has the news that the Twins will be on MLB Network a half-dozen times this spring.  First up is March 9th against the Toronto Blue Jays.
  • LEN3 tweets that Terry Ryan had his one-week check-up post-surgery, and everything is going as it should. Excellent.
  • Former Twins closer Matt Capps, in camp with the Indians, has been waylaid by shoulder problems.  Coffee shop enthusiast Aaron Gleeman has the details.
  • There is a lot less of CC Sabathia to hate this year.  We still have Bartolo Colon (h/t Robert Brender), I know, but it's not the same.
