Notes:

  • Jason Bartlett began the rehab assignment for his sprained ankle today in Fort Myers. Per Rob Antony (via Rhett Bollinger), there is no timetable for his return. Scratch that, he's retiring instead, per multiple sources.
  • In case you were too flabbergasted by last night's 8th inning to notice, and who would blame you, the American League leader in doubles and RBI going into this evening is Chris freakin' Colabello.
  • If the Twins win and the Angels beat the Tigers, you will be able to refer to them as "the first-place Minnesota Twins." Compare this to last Friday, when contraction seemed like it was the only logical answer. Sports are cool, man.

Enjoy the game, everybody.
