Twins 3, Rays 7: Twins were Out-Priced

The Rays got to Gibson early in the first inning, and despite a couple of home runs, the Twins were unable to muster much in response to David Price.

Whelp.

Twins starting pitcher Kyle Gibson entered tonight's game 3-0 with three strong starts, but not all good things can last. Trouble started early as Kyle let three runs score in the bottom of the first. Rays hitter David Dejesus added on in the third inning with a two-run single. It looked like it was already all over for the Twins.

But wait! Then there was hope. Brian Dozier led off the top of the 4th with a home run. Joe Mauer followed up with a single that hit David Price right in the baby maker (HA!). After a short delay, Plouffe struck out and then Twins' savior Chris Colabello hit a 2-run shot for the Twins--bringing the score to 3-7 and putting the Twins back in the game!

Except then the Twins failed to do anything after that. I hate you, David Price--complete-game starting-pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays.
