The Twins have announced that they'll be calling up Chris Herrmann. It's currently unclear whether that's due to Josh Willingham, Oswaldo Arcia, or some unknown injury to another part of the roster, but it seems likely that the Herrmann recall is due to the Willingham or Arcia wrist issues.
In two games for the Triple-A Red Wings, Herrmann was 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts. He'll likely back up Jason Kubel and Jason Bartlett or Chris Colabello in the corners, if he doesn't get a start or two himself. Gardy will also have the luxury of sliding Josmil Pinto into the designated hitter role, since rostering Herrmann means he'll have three catchers with which to work. Calling him up also means the Twins don't have to make a 40-man roster addition for Darin Mastroianni.
Gardenhire did mention near the end of spring training that he liked having Herrmann on his roster. I'm sure we'll see plenty of him over the next 15 days.
