I was at dinner with my fiancee when I glanced up at the TV. I had already seen that David Ortiz had homered against Kevin Correia, and this time he was facing Caleb Thielbar. I attempted to take a bite of the brownie we were sharing when I dropped my spoon in disgust. "Again!?!?" I exclaimed. That's right, Ortiz hit his 4th homer of the series.
The Twins were shut down by Felix Doubront, who overcame his control struggles and gave up only one run in 6 1/3 innings. Meanwhile, Kevin Correia was terrible again, and we have to wonder how much longer he'll be allowed to pitch before he's placed on the DL for a BS injury like Mike Pelfrey.
On the plus side, Trevor Plouffe did hit a 2-run homer in the 9th inning, though it happened when the game was already out of reach.
