Game 54: Twins at Yankees

New, 148 comments

Minnesota needs a series win.

Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

First Pitch: 12:05pm CDT

TV: FS-N
Radio: K-TWIN, TIBN
Know Thine Enemy: Pinstripe Alley

Pre-Game Notes:

  • Sam Fuld has resumed "light baseball activities." His timetable has probably moved from being out indefinitely to being out a matter of weeks, but other than joining the club for batting practice when they're in town I doubt we'll see him before the last week of the month. Unfortunately, it could still be even longer. Ideally he feels better soon, simply for his own health reasons.
  • Trevor May has a 2.62 ERA with 54 strikeouts in 55 innings this season in Triple-A. It can't be long now.
  • Danny Santana has told Gardy that he's willing to help out as and when his manager needs him. He won't be starting any games in the next day or two, but he could come in off the bench.
  • One day in the two-hole was enough for Eduardo Escobar, apparently, who slides back to eighth.
  • Phil Hughes gets to take on his old team. This should be entertaining...
