Twins Beat Down Mariners 8-1

This one was over early, allowing many Twins fans to go to bed at a decent time.

Kyle Gibson is either really, really good, or he's awful. Tonight he was good.

In his wins and no-decisions, Gibson has been absolutely dominant, but when he's charged with a loss, Gibson gets lit up. Thanks to an offensive explosion, Gibson was able to coast and the Twins had an easy victory.

Hopefully Kendrys Morales is starting to heat up, as he hit an RBI double in the first to give the Twins the lead. They added four more runs in the second inning mainly thanks to a 2-run double from Chris Colabello. They added 3 more in the 4th, and Mariners starter Roenis Elias was knocked out of the game after pitching only 3 1/3 innings.

Getting Elias out early will bode well tomorrow, as the Mariners are starting former closer Tom Wilhelmsen and likely will only get a couple innings out of him, meaning that the Mariners bullpen will likely be taxed heading into the weekend.
