Game 103: White Sox at Twins

Are you ready for some Logan Darnell?

Jason Miller

First Pitch: 6:10pm CDT
Know Thine Enemy: South Side Sox

Pre-Game Notes

  • When the Twins called up Logan Darnell, they optioned Jorge Polanco. So that was useful. Although it would be great if pitchers stopped getting hurt.
  • Phil Hughes thinks he'll be making his next start. I'm less optimistic about Kyle Gibson on Tuesday.
  • Polanco now actually gets to participate as a member of the Double-A squad. He was called up to New Britain, and then recalled to the Majors just hours later, so he had yet to suit up for the Rock Cats.
  • Darnell made one appearance with the Twins back on May 6, out of the bullpen.
  • Joe Mauer's rehab has seen him upgraded to hitting soft-toss. He's on track to return at some point this year, but I'd still peg him around the second week of August. Hopefully.
  • Chris Colabello is hitting fourth. It's like late April all over again.
