Twins Can't Beat House, Lose 5-0

Going 0 for 8 with runners in scoring position is not a way to win a ballgame. The Twins did manage to get multiple runners on base in 4 different innings, but they never could get that final hit to bring anyone home. Meanwhile, the Indians slugged two homers in beating the Twins 5-0.

Ricky Nolasco was better than what we've seen earlier this season out of him, but it still wasn't enough. He did pitch into the 7th inning and gave up 4 runs, which on some days would be enough to earn a victory. However, lefthanded sidearmer T.J. House did a great job pitching out of jams, and the Twins just couldn't do much with his excellent sinking fastball.

Speaking of the two home runs, yours truly happened to catch the first one from Zach Walters. First ever home run I've caught in a game, and yet it was in my possession for all of 2 seconds as I tossed it to a nearby kid.

There's not really much to say here. The offense wasn't clutch and the Indians just chipped away throughout the game.
