After last night's loss to the first-place Kansas City Royals (it still feels weird to type that out this late in the season), the Twins tonight will look to rebound and get back into the win column. They'll be relying on lefty Tommy Milone, whose last start was less-than-spectacular against the Tigers last Friday. He couldn't make it through a full five innings, despite the offense fully showing up for the game. Milone's counterpart will be Royals' right-hander Jeremy Guthrie, who has been on a roll as of late, winning the last 5 of 6 games he's started. The good news is that rookie superstar Kennys Vargas is hitting .667 off Guthrie this season, going 1-for-3 with a 3-run dinger. Small sample size what?
