The Twins and Padres have a quick turnaround today after last night's game. I'm still trying to wrap my head around this 2-game homestand, which is one of the odder scheduling quirks I've ever seen.
The game today is going to be a "strikeouts are fascist" type of game with Kevin Correia and Odrisamer Despaigne (oh-drih-suh-mer des-pawn-yay) taking the mound. Both are striking out less than 5 batters per inning, though Despaigne did have much better strikeout totals when he was briefly in the minor leagues this year after being signed as a Cuban free agent midseason.
By the way, if you're near me at Target Field today, you may catch me muttering "Odrisamer Despaigne" over and over again. Such a fun name to say. Oh, and the guy throws an eephus... though I bet Kenny Vargas will hit that out to Target Plaza anyway.
