Tonight's game features former Boston Red Sox pitcher Jon Lester starting just his second game for the Oakland Athletics, while the Minnesota Twins start rookie right handed pitcher Yohan Pino. While the Twins won their last game that Pino started, it wasn't due to his pitching. He gave up 4 earned runs in 6 1/3 innings, which did keep the team in the game, but also took away his chance at a quality start. In his last start with the A's (also his first start with the team), Jon Lester gave up 3 runs on 9 hits and a walk, but still managed to secure the win, going 6 2/3 innings.
