Know Thine Enemy: AZ Snake Pit
While the Twins have reached another 90-loss season, at least they'll have Phil Hughes on the mound for this start. He's been showing durability late in the season as he hasn't tossed fewer than 6 innings in a start since July 24th and hasn't thrown fewer than 7 innings since August 10th. However, he has allowed a total of 10 runs in his last three starts so he might be getting a little tired as the season closes.
Facing him will be lefty Vidal Nuno, who was acquired from the New York Yankees in the Brandon McCarthy trade. He's pitched well since the trade with a 3.78 ERA, but it hasn't resulted in any wins as he has been 0-6 since joining the D-Backs. He throws in the high-80s so he'll be changing speeds in order to be successful.
