Hey, Joe Mauer from the Twins here.  The TwinkieTown guys asked me to review the new Star Wars movie for the website, and I'm here to tell you, it's a home run lol.  That's just some baseball humor for you guys.

But I really did like it.

I liked the Star Wars movies a lot when I was growing up, but I have to say I was a little nervous for this new one.  It was rated PG-13, which my mom says means "Pretty Gross 13."  I looked that up on the internet and it says mom's wrong, but I guess there's two sides to every story.

So I got my small popcorn and my small drink (no butter and no ice, what do I look like a reliever lol) and got settled into my seat at the movie theater.  The previews looked pretty neat, but there wasn't a commercial for a new Minions movie, so that was disappointing.  Those little guys are so funny, but you can tell they have good hearts, and that's what really matters.

Jesse said that I shouldn't post anything that spoils the movie for folks who haven't seen it yet, so I'll just say that there were a lotta good parts, and Han Solo and Chewie were in it and it was awesome seeing them in the Millennium Falcon.  Anything else beyond that is a secret between me, myself, and I, buster. (Not Buster Olney haha.  That tiny fella wasn't there anywho.)

So would I recommend it?  You bet.  But just a word of warning: There are some adult words and situations, so don't repeat them or you might catch some heck from mom.

MOVIE: Star Wars: The Force Awakens

DINGERS: 3 1/2 (out of 4)

DIRECTOR: J.J. Abrams

FEATURING: Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac

CAPSULE REVIEW: I liked it a lot.  --Joe Mauer, Minnesota Twins
