The Twins haven't had a big spring training roster cull for some time now, and it's not clear whether we'll see another one considering how players have been trickling off over the last few days. On the heels of this weekend's announcements that Alex Meyer, Michael Tonkin, and Ryan Pressly would be optioned to Triple-A, this morning the team has done the same to Stephen Pryor.
Pryor, who arrived from the Mariners in return for Kendrys Morales last summer, allowed a run off of four hits and a walk in six innings and five appearances for Minnesota this spring. Credit him for lasting this long through the process, but he was always a long shot to make the roster.
Excluding the loser of the battle for the fifth rotation spot, the relievers still in camp include A.J. Achter, Brian Duensing, Casey Fien, J.R. Graham, Glen Perkins, Tim Stauffer, Caleb Thielbar, Aaron Thompson, and non-roster invitees Blaine Boyer and Mark Hamburger.
