I don't know if I've ever been more frustrated about the Twins in the past four years than I have been right now. It's not just that they're bad and they're losing, it's how bad they've been.
Kyle Gibson was one of the few bright spots last year and he looks to turn in his first solid outing of the new season. Let me know if Bert tries to talk about Gibson being "too strong" in his first start, because I need to know if he's going to continue trumpeting this unsubstantiated talk that sinkerballers are more effective with lower velocities.
Facing Gibson will be righty Edinson Volquez, who was a curious offseason signing for the Royals. Once traded for Josh Hamilton long ago, he's a power arm that has always struggled with his control. Being patient at the plate will help the Twins knock Volquez around today.
