Duensing to the disabled list, Thielbar recalled

The Twins make their second change in the bullpen this year.

Just before Opening Day, Aaron Thompson was asked to take Mike Pelfrey's place in the bullpen following Ervin Santana's suspension. The year's second move in the bullpen comes on an injury to Brian Duensing.

Duensing had made six appearances for the Twins so far, which is astonishing considering the team has only played nine games. In 3.2 innings he's allowed three runs off of four hits, a walk, and a hit batter. He'd actually been fine in four of his first five outings, but he was all over the place in the ninth inning yesterday.

Thielbar, who owns a 2.59 ERA in 93.2 innings for the Twins between 2013 and 2014, has made three appearances for the Red Wings. He's allowed three hits and a walk in 2.1 innings but has yet to allow a run. His promotion to the big league bullpen puts Logan Darnell as the next southpaw reliever up should the need arise.
