This week has shown a lot of promise for Twins fans, as the team climbed above .500 for the first time this season. A sweep of the Chicago White Sox, coupled with a series win against the struggling Oakland A's gave fans a little hope that this season might not be entirely a wash. This week will be all about the positivity! Well, for the most part...
-Michael Rand posted some interesting points in his Strib article - sometimes a little perspective is all that's needed to remind oneself that the baseball season is a long one, and that the first two weeks don't necessarily make the entire season.
-While the Twins did move Oswaldo Arcia to the DL, the callup of Eddie Rosario sparked a little excitement in Twins Territory, as he homered in his first major league at-bat. Did I mention that it came on the first pitch of that first at-bat? What a career start!
-Not that you should take much stock in power rankings, but I am just going to point out that the Twins moved up to 4th position in this week's ESPN power rankings. /cue song
-Did you see that catch the end the game last night against the A's from Shane Robinson? It was a beauty!
Make sure to stop by later this morning to join in the game thread as the Twins look to close out the series on a high note!
