Game 66: Cardinals at Twins

Mike Pelfrey looks to get back on track.

The Twins will try to earn a split of this four game series with the Cardinals (or, sweep the Cardinals at home, I think that sounds better).

It won't be easy as, Jaime Garcia, much like nearly every Cardinals starter, is having a really good year. His ERA is at a cool 2.06 and ERA+ is 190 (100 is average). In his last start he shut down the Royals for 8 innings only allowing 4 hits and striking out 6. Jaime Garcia has never faced the Twins in his career, so he'll be new to everyone in the lineup. They can use the experience today for when we face them in the World Series this year.

Mike Pelfrey had been pretty good before his last start, where he only lasted 3.2 innings and gave up 11 hits and 8 runs, all earned (oof). He still holds a solid 3.18 ERA on the year, so hopefully his last start was an aberration and not a sign of things to come.

This game isn't televised on FSN, unfortunately, so that means something historic is likely to happen.
