Minnesota Twins Minor League Stars of the Week

In this week's article, we take a look at the past week of minor league baseball in the Minnesota Twins organization and name the Minor League Stars of the Week.

This week we go into the Minnesota Twins minor league organization to find the shining talent that we name the Minor League Stars of the Week.  Read on to see who we have named for this week's stars and take a moment to answer the poll and comment on any other players you feel that should have been named.

  • Cedar Rapids Kernels (A - Low) - T.J. White (3B) - Our star for the Kernels this week is T.J. White, third baseman for Cedar Rapids.  In his past ten games, White is hitting .439 with 1 HR, 15 RBI, and 6 R.  For the 2015 season at Cedar Rapids and Fort Myers, T.J. is hitting .249 with a .332 OBP, .339 SLG, and .671 OPS.  White has scored 44 runs on the season and has 21 2B, 6 3B, 2 HR, and 50 RBI.  He has been solid on the bases with 12 stolen bases on 17 attempts.  His defense does need some work with 25 errors on the season but has been improving with the glove the second half of 2015.
  • Fort Myers Miracle (A - High) - Logan Wade (2B) - This week's star from the Fort Myers Miracle is Logan Wade, second baseman for the Miracle.  In his past ten games, Wade is hitting .350 with 6 RBI, 3 runs scored and one stolen base.  For the 2015 season at Fort Myers, Wade is hitting .262 with a .299 OBP, .380 SLG, and .679 OPS.  Logan has scored 30 runs on the season to go with 21 B, 4 3B, 3 HR, and 35 RBI.  He has 3 stolen bases in 4 attempts and has played very respectable defense with 10 errors in the 2015 campaign.
  • Chattanooga Lookouts (AA) - Levi Michael (2B) - Our star from the Chattanooga Lookouts this week is Levi Michael, second baseman for the Lookouts.  In his past ten games, Michael is hitting .342 with 1 HR, 5 RBI, 8 runs scored, and 3 stolen bases.  For the 2015 season at Chattanooga, Levi is hitting .270 with a .371 OBP, .441 SLG, and .812 OPS.  Michael has scored 40 runs on the year to go along with 11 2B, 5 3B, 5 HR, and 30 RBI.  Levi has been above average on the basepaths with 15 stolen bases in 18 attempts.  His defense has been outstanding with only 6 errors committed in 2015.
  • Rochester Red Wings (AAA) - Jose Berrios (P) - This week's star from the Rochester Red Wings is Jose Berrios, pitcher for Rochester.  In his past two starts, Berrios is 2-0 with a 0.69 ERA and over 13 IP had a unbelievable 17 SO/1 BB ratio in those starts.  For the 2015 season at Chattanooga and Rochester, Jose has pitched in 26 games and is 13-5 with a 2.90 ERA.  Berrios has pitched 161.1 IP on the season with 1 shutout.  His strikeout to walk ratio is an incredible 170 SO/37 BB and has been tough on hitters only allowing a .224 batting average along with a 1.05 WHIP.
