We knew a roster move was coming after it leaked earlier today that the Twins were calling up pitching prospect Jose Berrios. What we didn't know is that the entire pitching staff appears to have died. RIP.
Kyle Gibson was placed on the DL with a shoulder strain and an inflamed rotator cuff. He told Mike Berardino of the Pioneer Press that he felt the injury after one specific pitch in his last start. But hey, there's good news: an MRI ruled out the need for surgery. Woo.
Ervin Santana is joining Gibson on the DL with back spasms.
Meanwhile, just yesterday LEN3 suspected that Tyler Duffey would be the pitcher heading to the DL to make room for Alex Meyer.

Meanwhile, the Twins claim Duffey is still going to start on Saturday.
Jorge Polanco was recalled from AAA to fill the extra roster spot.
