Today's game will be a battle between former teammates Ricky Nolasco and Mike Pelfrey. Nolasco has been pretty good for the Twins this year, possibly even heroic. In his last start he went 7.1 innings and gave up 4 runs, while striking out 9.

Meanwhile, Pelfrey has been very much like Pelfrey. He's given up a ton of hits, and a ton of walks, but his defense has been bailing him out as he has a not-awful 4.63 ERA (5.75 FIP). His offense hasn't been doing him any favors either; they've scored a grand total of 5 runs in his 4 starts, all losses.
