Know Thine Enemy: Royals Review

Back at it again, huh. At least today the Twins are sending Tyler Duffey to the mound, who has easily been their best starting pitcher this season. It's a shame that he wasn't fit for the rotation at the beginning of the season because I think he has a decent chance of being the Twins' lone All-Star representative (that is, unless the voting committee deems that Fernando Abad's work in the bullpen merits more consideration).

Opposing Duffey on the mound will be Dillon Gee, a castoff from last year's Mets that found a home in the vaunted Royals bullpen to start the season. However, after inevitable injuries to the rotation, Gee has found his chance to return to starting pitching and he's made it count thus far. A 2.90 ERA does mask some peripherals that don't look so tidy, but I'm sure the Royals don't mind the output they've received from him this season.

Also, don't forget that "Whit Merrifield" is a real player on the Royals roster.
