The Milwaukee Brewers tried to place their relief pitcher Neil Ramirez on waivers, but he did not pass thanks (I hope?) to the watchful eyes over at the Minnesota Twins!
Neil Ramirez was originally drafted by the Rangers in 2007 and has spent time in the Cubs’ and Brewers’ organizations. He’s pitched 9.1 innings this year between the Cub and Brewers and has a 5.79 ERA. Sounds like he’ll fit right in with the Twins! He’ll join them Monday in Anaheim.
To make room on the roster, the Twins moved Phil Hughes to the 60 day DL with this knee issue.
