Game 75: Twins @ Yankees

Duffey needs something a degree of magnitude higher than a "bounce back start" today.

Pick the stick is back, so go check that out! (if there's not a link here, I forgot to update this, in that case it is on the front page).

Tyler Duffey has been struggling. I have numbers to back this up!

Last 7 starts: 35.1 innings, 58 hits, 38 runs (2 unearned), 9 walks, 9 HR, 26 strikeouts. That's a 9.17 ERA, which is not good in case you didn't know. The Twins have got to be thinking about getting him out of the rotation, but who should replace him? Andrew Albers? Logan Darnell? Jose Berrios? Miguel Sano?

Berrios would appear to be the most attractive option of those 4. He got roughed up a bunch back at the end of May and the first half of June but his last two starts have been good.

Oh and if you were thinking "maybe Pat Dean?", he got roughed up in his first start back in AAA (6 IP, 7 ER).

Duffey isn't getting any better (in fact, is getting exponentially worse), so if he doesn't have a dramatic turnaround today I can't see him staying in the rotation any longer.

Or maybe you just keep him in there and hope he figures it out.

I don't know.
