Offensively, 3B Miguel Sano hit a home run to lead off the 5th inning, but it was his only hit of the game. Overall he went 1-for-4 and is batting .188 so far his rehab assignment.

C John Ryan Murphy had a nice game at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI.

Low A: Cedar Rapids Kernels 8, Quad Cities River Bandits 5

The Bandits jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first innings, but it didn’t last long. The Kernels answered right back with five runs of their own in the top of the second and led the rest of the game.

At the plate, the Kernels were double-happy, with C Brian Olson, DH Austin Diemer, LF Daniel Kihle, and CF Brad Hartong all hitting doubles. Double the fun, am I right!?!?
