Game 77: Twins at White Sox

The Twins have already hit 8 homers this week. They've played just 2 games. Can they keep it up?

Well well well... it's a matchup of two guys that Twins fans have discussed in trade talks for the past year or so: Ricky Nolasco and James Shields. Both have been underperforming this season and trust me, for all of you that wanted to see Shields in a Twins uniform, you shouldn't want him anymore. Since joining the White Sox, here are Shields' numbers...

4 starts, 13 2/3 IP, 15.80 ERA, 9.60 FIP, 5.27 K/9, 8.56 BB/9, 3.29 HR/9, .414 AVG, 48.6% runners stranded

...sooooo, yeah. The White Sox wanted Shields to solidify their rotation and instead they would have been better off just keeping John Danks around. It's been an absolute disaster, and since this Twins season has been pretty bad, it's nice to see someone else in the majors struggle.

My apologies, I'm out golfing with my dad and brother so I'm probably teeing off into a lake around the same time lineups become available. On the plus side, I've got a new set of clubs so that's a pretty neat deal.

Have no fear, SooFoo is here with the lineups:
