Farm Report: Palka back at it again with the homeruns

A recap of the Twins' minor league affiliates' results from June 2nd.

AAA: Rochester Red Wings 5, Indianapolis Indians 2

SP Tommy Milone pushed his AAA record to 3-0 with another strong 6.1 inning outing for the Red Wings yesterday. Milone gave up only one earned run on seven hits and one walk. He also had three strikeouts.

The Wings scored first in the top of the 2nd inning. With two outs, C John Bartholomew Curtis David Ryan Murphy hit a double and scored on a SS Wilfredo Tovar RBI single.

CF Eddie Rosario (because the Twins stole the Wings' other center fielder options) jacked a solo home run off the first pitch he saw in the 5th inning.

In the relief side of things, J.T. Chargois surrendered his first run in AAA on a sacrifice fly by Indians DH Jason Rogers. (I expect you all to stop talking about this bust now.) Alex Wimmers threw a perfect 9th inning.

AA: Chattanooga Lookouts 4, Birmingham Barons 2

RF DANIEL PALKA HIT TWO HOME RUNS AGAIN. In case you forgot, he also did this yesterday.

SP David Hurlbut bested White Sox top prospect SP Carson Fulmer with a strong 6.1 inning outing. Hurlbut (can we just admire this name for a second? Ok, cool) also gave up only one earned run on seven hits, and no, I'm not just mistakenly looking at Tommy Milone's box score even thought that seems like something I would do.

High A: St. Luice Mets 8, Ft. Myers Miracle 0 (Game 1)

In the first game of a double header, the Ft. Myers Miracle were nearly no-hit by Mets SP Chris Flexen in a shortened 7 inning game (a thing they do in A ball double headers, I guess). C Brian Olson got the only hit of the game for the Miracle.

Miracle SP Keaton Steele only lasted 3 innings, giving up five earned runs on nine hits.

High A: Ft. Myers Miracle 4, St. Luice Mets 3 (Game 2)

Now this is more my jam. Miracle SP Felix Jorge threw all 7 innings of the game, allowing only two earned runs on seven hits. The only other run came due to an error by SS Engelb Vielma.

1B Alex Real was the star at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a double and two RBI.

Low A: Beloit Snappers 7, Cedar Rapids Kernels 1

Another bad start for Kernels SP Dereck Rodriguez (Pudge's son), who lasted only 4 innings. Rodriguez gave up all seven earned runs, six of which came in the 3rd inning. It was too much for the Kernels to overcome.

The Kernels bullpen was great, however. RP Anthony McIver gave up only one hit in 2 innings pitched. RP Sam Gibbonspitched one perfect inning, and Michael Theofanopoulos pitched a scoreless frame, surrendering only one walk.
