AAA: Rochester Red Wings 3, Buffalo Bisons 1
It was another great start for SP Tommy Milone, who surrendered only one earned run over 7 innings pitched to out-duel opposing SP Wade LeBlanc (who also pitched 7 innings, but he gave up two earned runs).
There wasn’t a whole lot of offense in this pitching dual. RF Buck Britton wen 2-for-3 with one walk and two runs scored. C John Ryan Murphy when 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.
RP J.T. Chargois got the 1.1 inning save, allowing only one walk and no hits.
AA: Chattanooga Lookouts 5, Jacksonville Suns 2
The Lookouts scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the first inning thanks to back-to-back errors by Suns 3B Brian Anderson, and they basically never looked back. SP Aaron Slegers had a strong 7 inning performance, giving up only two earned runs, and RP Luke Westphal and RP Trevor Hildenberger finished up the rest.
As for offense, RF Stuart Turner hit a solo dinger in the 5th inning, and CF Shannon Wilkerson went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored.
High A: Ft. Myers Miracle 1, Brevard County Manatees 0
Last year's first round draft pick SP Tyler Jay pitched 6 shutout innings and the bullpen came in to hold off the Manatees in this low scoring effort.
1B Chris Paul knocked in CF Edgar Corcino for the only run of the game.
Low A: Cedar Rapids 6, Kane County Cougars 0
The Kernels got things popping right away scoring three runs in the bottom of the 1st inning. DH Luis Arraez scored the first run before C A.J. Murray hit a two-run dong.
SP Fernando Romero had a nice outing, throwing 69 pitches over a career-high 7 scoreless innings.
