Miguel Sano is back in the bigs from his rehab stint in Rochester. To make room, the Twins sent DH Byung Ho Park to the minors.
Neither move comes as much of a surprise. Sano's hamstring was healed, and Park was struggling mightily at the plate. As noted by MLB's Rhett Bollinger, Park was 2-for-38 in his last 11 games. Advanced stats and eye tests both indicate that this is real bad.
As for Sano, by taking Park's place, he'll likely see more time at DH than in the field. This keeps the Twins from putting him in right field again like a bunch of goddamn idiots, which is good, or plugging him in at third and forcing the team to make a decision now on Trevor Plouffe's future.
