Series Preview: Indians at Twins

Let’s win 13 games in a row!

The Twins kick off the second half of the season with a three game set against the Cleveland Indians.

In case you didn’t hear, the Indians recently had a 13 game winning streak. If the Twins did that, they’d still be just 45-56. In case you’re just tuning in, the Twins didn’t have a great first half.

One of Cleveland’s leaders on offense is CF Tyler Naquin. He leads the team in average, OBP, and SLG%. Although, he is last on the team in defensive runs saved above average (-10), and he also hasn’t played much so his bWAR isn’t near the top of the team.

Speaking of leading the team in WAR, Francisco Lindor is doing that! His 3.8 mark is not only the best on his team, but also the best for any shortstop this year.

I kinda lied when I said Lindor was leading the team because starter Danny Salazar also has 3.8 WAR on the year. Overall, the Indians starting rotation looks very solid with ERA’s under 4 with mostly reasonable peripherals to back that up.

With the fancy numbers out of the way, here are the match-ups.
